Tempranillo was virtually unheard of in the Adelaide Hills before Nepenthe planted Tempranillo vines at Charleston in 1998. The variety is remarkably well-suited to the region as it loves altitude and thrives in the cool climate conditions. This wine delivers intense berry fruit flavours combined with a subtle spice finish. Pairs well with Spanish tapas, barbequed meat and pizza.
